Free programming workshop for women in Nyamira Town

 Build your first website at Django Girls Nyamira 2019 !

 Am excited as I post this blog of the upcoming workshop organized exclusively for girls particularly in Nyamira.
According to the website, there are limited spaces so girls need to quickly apply for this rare opportunity to start you of in programming and developing websites.

If you are a woman and want to learn how to make websites, we have good news for you: we are holding a one-day workshop for beginners!
It will take place on 19th April, 2019 at Mashinani hub in Nyamira behind Huduma center.
We believe the IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become one of us – women programmers!
Workshops are free of charge and if you cannot afford coming to Nyamira but are very motivated to learn and then share your knowledge with others, we may have some funds to help you out with your travel costs and accommodation. Don't wait too long: you can apply for the workshop only until 19th April 2019!

If you are a woman, know English and have a laptop, you can apply for our event! You don't need to know any technical stuff – our workshop is for people who are new to programming.
As a workshop attendee you will:
  • attend a one-day Django workshop during which you will create your first website
  • get a chance to meet and network with amazing women doing great things in tech
  • have meals and refreshments provided, thanks to our wonderful sponsors
We have space only for 30 people, so make sure to fill out the form very carefully! In the meantime, follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

Django Girls is an international non-profit organization started by two Polish women, Ola Sitarska and Ola Sendecka,to inspire women from all backgrounds to get interested in technology and to become programmers, offering a safe and friendly environment.
